Gister een advertentie geplaatst op marktplaats en kreeg direct reactie. Helemaal enthousiast was hij. Na lang over en weer berichten te sturen kreeg ik uiteindelijk zijn adres met de postcode FY8 3BJ. Direct opgezocht op google en kwam ik op dit forum. Zijn marktplaats account is S R. en hij reageerde bij mij onder de naam G D Stephan. Ik heb ook marktplaats benaderd. ff oplette dusss

Gisteren gereageerd op mijn marktplaats advertentie om Macbook te kopen. Was echter niet in Nederland, maar in Engeland. Zou wel de verzendkosten willen betalen. Was na het maken van de deal heel erg opdringerig, wilde alles snel gedaan hebben. Ook dat ik de advertentie van marktplaats zou halen en via Whatsapp contact hebben. Hij kon ook niet meteen het adres sturen en moest wachten op de bank. Uiteindelijk heeft hij zijn adres gestuurd en zou er een bankbevestiging naar mijn mail zijn gestuurd. Nou vanwege het rare gedrag heb ik zijn adres gegoogled en kwam deze scam reacties tegen. Toen ik heb had aangesproken hierover deed hij alsof hij nergens vanaf wist. Vertelde me af te wachten op de bankmail en zei dat ik al een overeenkomst met hem had gesloten en vond het raar dat ik erop terug kwam. Nou toen de bankmail binnen kwam in de spambox zag ik meteen dat dit nep was. Zou van Standard Charted Bank zijn, een Britse bank... maar met een mail vol spellingsfouten. Meteen geblokkeerd en gemeld bij Marktplaats, echter account toen al weggehaald.

Ben ook gecontacteerd door deze persoon. Hij had een bod gedaan op mijn notebook. Jammer genoeg te mooi om waar te zijn. Mijn vaser adviseerde deze persoon te googlen wat ik gedaan heb. Gelukkig ben ik voorbehoed op dit gevaar. Ik had me al voorgenomen om niks te versturen zolang ik niks op mijn rekening zie verschijnen. Toen ik hem confronteerde met het feit dat hij een scammer zou zijn heeft hij mij verwijderd en geblokkeerd. Xonder een verderr reactie op mijn beschuldiging van hem.

Ik heb met veel interesse alle voorgaande berichten gelezen. Voor mij geldt hetzelfde verhaal: camera spullen te koop gezet en contact gekregen met 'G. Steven'.

Wat mij als eerste opviel was hoe goedkoop het eigenlijk is om iets naar Engeland te versturen, in tegenstelling tot het versturen binnen Nederland. Maar dat terzijde.

Wat opvalt is het volgende:
- Maakt gebruikt van een bedrijfsaccount op Whatsapp
- Heeft een foto van een klein kind
- Wil vrij snel jouw bankgegevens met mailadres
- Gebruikt inmiddels het telefoonnummer +44 7441 412924

Ik heb hem een tijdje aan de praat gehouden, gevraagd naar wat gegevens (die zou ik nodig hebben voor mijn bank formulieren), heb hem de paspoortfoto die ik hier gevonden heb gestuurd én een link naar dit forum met de tekst: You're famous in The Netherlands!

Hij heeft nog niet gereageerd. Ben stiekem nog wel benieuwd naar een reactie.

Steven Guakroger benaderde 5 minuten na dat ik een camera en lens op marktplaats zette.

Initieel stelde hij de "juiste" vragen (wat is de staat van de camera, hoeveel zijn de verzendkosten, etc...). Maar uit goede gewoonte google ik altijd een mogelijke koper. Het feit dat hij me pas na een half uur zijn naam en adres gaf, vond ik al verdacht.

Hello. Somebody tried to scam us via Marktplaats as well. My son had his laptop on Marktplaats and because his phone number is also listed on Marktplaats, guy got in touch with him via WhatsApp. He asked if we could send the laptop to the UK. He was willing to pay extra to have it sent quickly. I was a little hesitant, but we did end up sending my banking info and e-mail address. So a little later guy sends my son supposed screen shots of the transfer trying to convince us it has been completed. A little later I receive an e-mail from Barclays Bank with pretty much the same story. The transfer is 95% complete, I have to confirm the shipment, etc. My son blocked guy immediately and also erased the chat, but here's the info I do have:

Hallo,

Ik heb vanmorgen een iPhone 8 op Marktplaats gezet. Binnen een paar minuten reageerder er een zekere Jennifer Curry via WhatsApp. Ze wil de telefoon aan haar zoon geven op zijn verjaardag op 2 januari. Ze onderhandelde helemaal niet over de prijs. Vraagt of ik het zo snel mogelijk kan versturen. Ik vertrouwde dit niet helemaal en als ik diverse verhalen hier lees denk ik dat ik gelijk heb.
Zojuist kreeg ik via WhatsApp een 2e reactie met de vraag of de telefoon nog beschikbaar is. Het nummer opgezocht en blijkt uit New York te komen. Wel heel erg vreemd dat je zoveel moeite doet om een iPhone uit Nederland te krijgen terwijl er in eigen lang genoeg verkrijgbaar zijn...

Same here! Zelfde 'vrouw', Jenifer Cury, [email protected], whatsappnr helaas als een jekko verwijderd en geblokkeerd,dus kan deze niet delen, was +44... iPhone van m'n zoon moet opgestuurd worden naar Marseille... Haar zoon heet blijkbaar Akinkunmi Abideen. Ze stuurde een mail van HSBC Bank 95% betaald blabla, binnen 3 uur overgemaakt, maar eerst opsturen en daarna een code invoeren... Klopt van geen kant!
